Helping Hearts - Savannah and Reise

I spent the morning with a wonderful family. Their two beautiful children, Savannah (aged 3) and Reise (almost 1).

Savannah was born premature and suffered vocal cord and diaphram paralysis from a difficult delivery, she spend five weeks in the hospital.

Reise was delivered early because of his weaked heart condition. Once he was born it was discovered that he had Down Syndrome, and because to this he has Transient Leukemia. They spend four months in the NICU in Kingston. An amazing organization called "Almost Home" gave them a place to stay for $10 a night, a life saver since they live in Bancroft. They are in Kingston once a week to monitor Reise's Leukemia.

Here are a few photos from today's shoot.
